Singapore Chin Kang Huay Kuan’s 3rd Creative Diary Competition
【Theme】Our Family’s Recipe
【Aim】In the name of delicacy, and to promote the cultural understanding and exchange among Singaporeans of different dialect groups and hometowns. To encourage Singaporeans to document their family recipe through creating a creative diary. In addition to documenting a part of the family history, this competition seeks to provide a platform for the Chinese community to have a better understanding of one another and to promote youths’ interest in exploring Chinese culture.
【Competition Mechanics】
- This competition is open to all Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents as well as Foreigners living in Singapore. Foreigners must have a valid pass (e.g. Work Pass, Long Term Visit Pass, Student’s Pass)
- Based on the theme of the competition, create a 1 to 10-paged (excluding front and back covers) diary designed with photographs and illustrations, and a 100-1000 words write-up
- Diary size may range between A5 and A4
- Write-up may be handwritten or typewritten. Decorative items such as stickers may be used, but design has to be handmade. Entries designed using computer software will not be accepted
- Diaries are to be written in Chinese, with no more than 10% of the supplementary content in English
- Participating submissions should not be copied, fabricated or have any copyright infringement

- All submissions must be original work and will not be returned to the participants after judging has concluded.
