On 15 April, Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) and Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) jointly organised the “Project CARE 2023”. During the event, more than 400 seniors from 13 elderly care organisations, accompanied by over 60 volunteers, and their families, took a boat trip along the Singapore River.

This was the first time that “Project CARE 2023” invited the seniors’ family members to participate, aiming to create memorable experiences for both the elderly and their loved ones. In addition to the boat trip, participants also visited various attractions along the way, including Elgin Bridge, Boat Quay, The Arts House, Cavenagh Bridge, Fullerton Hotel, Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall.

Before departure, the volunteers helped distribute refreshments to the participants.

About “Project CARE”

“Project CARE” was initiated by volunteers from CDAC in 2007. In 2013, it partnered with the SFCCA to gather more volunteers and care for a greater number of seniors. This activity also provides a platform for volunteers to communicate and share their volunteering experiences with each other.
