While NFT, Metaverse, and Blockchain are not new concepts, they have become hot topics in recent years with the rapid advancement of technology and increased productivity, allowing people to generate tangible progress and developments in these areas in the foreseeable future, said Dr. Wang Yue, Academic Director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Program at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
The “Talk Of The Town: A Dialogue On Blockchain, NFT And The Metaverse” was held on July 16 (Saturday) at the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), with three industry experts invited to share their thoughts. They are Mr. Chan Jin Hong (Co-Founder of VERSETILE), Dr. Wang Yue (Academic Director of SUSS DBA Program) and Ms. Jiang Fan (Assistant Vice President of Innovation R&D Department of a large Chinese bank), shared about the metamorphosis of FinTech in recent years, the potential of Blockchain, NFT and Metaverse, and the potential and risks of FinTech in Singapore. Nearly 100 participants attended the event and the response was overwhelming.
One of the keynote speakers, Mr. Chan Jin Hong, also shared the significance of NFT and some tips at the event.
Another speaker, Ms. Jiang Fan, introduced Decentralised Finance, its development and application from the perspective of a financial institution.
