Now Published: English Edition of”A General History of the Chinese in Singapore” 

After three years of preparation, the English edition of “A General History of the Chinese in Singapore”, co-published by the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) and World Scientific Publishing Co Pte Ltd, is available for purchase with effect from 24th June 2019.

Co-edited by historians Professor Kwa Chong Guan and Mr Kua Bak Lim, this latest edition of “A General History of the Chinese in Singapore” is published to commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial. It is aimed at reaching a wider audience, for more to gain an insight of the beginnings of the Chinese community in Singapore. The book includes records of the Chinese community’s accomplishments and contributions from the 14th century to date.

The English edition of “A General History of the Chinese in Singapore” comprises over 900 pages, 18 chapters and 38 essays, and involved a total of 26 authors and seven translators

SFCCA members may purchase the English edition of “A General History of the Chinese in Singapore” through SFCCA at discounted prices of SGD88 (hardcover version) and SGD46 (paperback version).

Non-members or the public may also contact SFCCA should they wish to purchase the book. The hardcover version retails for SGD104.86 whilst the paperback version retails for SGD72.76.
