Organised by SFCCA, the 6th Youth Sports Festival drew to a close on Sunday, 30th September 2018 with the final sports category – Table Tennis Competition held at SFCCA Multi-Purpose Hall@ Level 1. Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Transport & Minister of Communications and Information, Dr Janil Puthucheary graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour and to present awards to the winners at the Closing Ceremony. This year, the table tennis competition is split into both Junior and Youth categories. Champions for Junior category went to Hainan Junior of Singapore Hainan Hwee Kuan, Runner up by JRZ of Hua Yuan Association and the third position went to Heng Jai Wong Clan Association team. 1st and 2nd position for Youth Category went to Team Blue and Team Red from Singapore Ji Yang Cai Clan Association respectively, while Sunsport Club clinched the third position. Besides awards presentations to the winners of various sports categories, souvenirs in appreciations to the supports of joint-organisers and co-organisers were also presented.

This year, a total of 9 clan associations has partnered SFCCA for the sporting event. They are joint-organisers – Singapore Chin Kang Huay Kuan, Singapore Lam Ann Association, Eng Choon Hway Kuan Singapore, Foo Clan Association, Singapore Bukit Panjang Hokkien Konghuay and Singapore Hainan Hwee Kuan, as well as co-organisers, namely Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan, Singapore Ann Kway Association and Hua Yuan Association. This event is also supported by National Integration Council and St John Singapore.

Incepted in 2013, SFCCA Youth Sports Festival aims to foster social cohesiveness and promote interaction among local and new immigrant youths through friendly sports matches. Since then, the annual festival has moved from a clan exclusive event to a festival that brings youths from various ethnic and religious communities together, rendering it as a platform to establish an integrated network for young individuals of differing backgrounds, contributing to the advancement of social harmony among communities.
