The Chinese Foreign Students Billiards Tournament organised by Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) and Chinese Scholars and Students Association in Singapore (SGCSSA) was held on 21st July 2013.

The champion was Yao Xiaodong from north-eastern China, who played with brilliant skills. The runner-up was Zhang Wei who was currently a referee at Singapore Billiards and Snooker Association, while the second runner-up was Xiao Rufeng also from north-eastern China. This tournament consists of 32 players who randomly selected their opponents, in turn determining their rankings. Players played by 3-2 winnings in the elimination rounds; while 9-5 winnings in the semi-finals and 7-4 winnings in the finals. 8 players were eliminated from 16, after a showcase of brilliant skills won the audience’s cheers.

Every player demonstrated positive attitudes and superb skills in the tournament, displaying ample communication and practise self-restraint even in the face of conflicts, of which is required in the sports of Billiards. Several female players qualified after the first round. The member associations of SFCCA were highly supportive of this tournament, with Foo Clan Association Singapore, Chin Kang Huay Kuan and Guangxi and Gaozhou Association sending their members to participate. The tournament lasted about 6 hours and ended in an amicable atmosphere.
