The Youth Networking Lunch hosted by SFCCA’s Youth Affairs Committee was held on 10th March 2013, which brought youths from 31 clan associations, as well as participants from SCCCI YEN, Business China, Chinese Scholars and Students Association in Singapore, and United Chinese Alumni Associations in Singapore together, in a bid to set up opportunities to foster closer relations for future collaboration.

Up to eighty youths shared their experiences and came up with many innovative suggestions, including movie screening, health walk, etc.

Mr Thomas Pek said that SFCCA does not intend to compete with clan associations over the organising of events, but aims to gather the resources of the various organisations so as to explore the possibilities of putting together events on a larger and more expansive scale, which could then attract a greater number of youths.
