Miss Teochew Beauty Pageant 2021 is Now Open for Registration!

2. Pre-requisites

* Age: Minimum 18 and maximum 35

* Singaporeans and Permanent Residents of Singapore, students or working executives with respective valid student or working permits

* Marital status: single

* One of your parents is Teochew

* Able to speak conversational Teochew
|* Good physical attributes, outspoken, lively, cheerful, helpful, confident, etc.

4. Format of Competition

a) 3 rounds of competition (sportswear, casual (own), Cheongsums)

b) 1 round of self-introduction (in Teochew)
c) 1 round of Q & A

5. Judging Criteria

* Physical attributes 40%

* Stage presence (ie. Catwalk, grooming, pose, confidence, elegance) 40%
* Q & A 20%

6. Prizes

* Winner – $3000 in cash and / or in kind

* 1^st Runner-up – $2000 in cash and / or in kind

* 2^nd Runner-up – $1000 in cash and / or in kind

* Subsidiary Titles – $500 in cash and / or in kind

* Ms Photogenic

* Ms Congeniality (Friendship)
* Ms Popularity (contestant with the most online votes)

7. Timeline

Enrolment: Mid-April to end May

Semi-finals: Mid-June

Commencement of Training: Mid-June to Finals
Finals: Between End October and Mid November

8. Others

a) Complimentary training sessions will be provided to shortlisted participants:

* Stage presence

* Catwalk

* Answering Q & A and handling the media

* Photography

* Grooming

* Conversational Teochew lessons

b) Rehearsals are required to prepares for semi-final and final competitions.

c) Performance opportunity for contestants with talents, eg. musical, vocal, craft at the 92^nd Anniversary Dinner cum Final Competition and Closing finale of 3^rd Teochew Festival
