The “Engaging Effectively–Active Listening Workshop” was held on June 11 (Saturday) at 9:00 a.m. in the second floor auditorium of the SFCCA. A total of 20 “Integration Ambassadors” and “Integration Supporters” participated in the event. Through case studies and role-plays, participants had the opportunity to learn active listening and to further develop their understanding of how others communicate in order to promote cross-cultural understanding and social integration.

Before starting the workshop, the facilitator led an ice-breaking activity to familiarise the participants with each other. Afterwards, he gave each group a case study to discuss with one another, and then used a role play scenario to let participants better experience their roles. Towards the end, the instructor also provided feedback to each group.

All participants received a certificate of participation at the end of the workshop.

Participants worked in small groups to discuss and interact with the mentors.

The group members actively participated in the discussion.

Participants had a role-play session with the mentor.

Mentors provide feedback to the participants.
