New immigrants have been bringing their hometown cooking to the dining tables in Singapore, and also brought along their customs and practices, and food culture. Lately, the different types of cuisines from different territories and countries have flourished in Singapore and are well received by the foodies in Singapore. These opportunities to taste different foods have given us a chance to appreciate the different food cultures from all over the world.

The recent “Singapore Society” Series Seminar held on 10th December 2016 touched on the foreign inspiration on local food culture. The organiser, Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), invited two speakers from Old Hong Kong Group and Elemen F&B Pte Ltd.
