To commemorate the great contributions of ancestors of various ethnic groups on the road to nation-building, the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) held the “Four Races’ Struggle to Build the Nation” New Immigrants and Singapore Society Series Seminar at the SFCCA multi-purpose hall on 13th December 2015 (Sunday) at 2pm.

Speakers from each of the four core ethnicities were invited to speak. Mr Chen Dinghui, curator of the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall was the Chinese speaker; Indian Women’s Association Singapore President Ms Sukanya Pushkarna was the Indian speaker; Chinese scholar Mr Jaffar Kassim was the Malay speaker and local writer Ms Denyse Tessensohn was the Eurasian speaker. Participants were able to understand how ancestors of each ethnic group overcame difficulties to build their homes.
