In order to promote interaction and friendship between youths of clan associations, and help the youth committees organise sports activities together, the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) Youth Committee held the 2015 Youth Sports Festival. The opening ceremony and basketball competition of the Sports Festival was held at the Singapore Basketball Center on 5th July 2015, with a total of 27 teams. After a long and close battle, the Singapore Lam Ann Association won the championship title, and the runner-up and second runner-up were won by the Eng Choon Hway Kuan (Singapore) and the Bukit Panjang Hokkien Konghuay respectively.
There are five sports in this year’s Youth Sports Festival, namely basketball, table tennis, football, badminton and bowling. The competitions will be held at various locations throughout the island from July to September.
