Singapore, 14 September 2025 — Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), in collaboration with Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) Community Fund, held a “Mid-Autumn Together: Lanterns of Warmth” Lantern Lighting Ceremony this afternoon on the link bridge connecting TTSH and Square 2. The ceremony was officiated by Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health, who was the Guest-of-Honour.

2025 marks a significant milestone for Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. As part of our anniversary celebrations, SFCCA’s council members and volunteers joined hands with patients of TTSH and their families, as well as hospital staff and nurses, to hand-paint around 300 lanterns, each inscribed with heartfelt messages of goodwill.

Since 2022, SFCCA has run an annual volunteer project to encourage the public to give back to society in meaningful ways. This year’s initiative focuses on the hospital community, bringing festive warmth and care to patients and their families at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The lantern display is also part of the TTSH Community Fund’s “Illuminate” (Illuminate) fundraising campaign, which seeks to brings warmth, dignity, and meaning to TTSH patients on their journey home and those in the final chapter of life.

Mr Lennon Tan, Chairman of SFCCA Social Affairs Committee, shared: “Just as the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates reunion and warmth, we hope this display will bring light and cheer to the patients.”

These lanterns will be on public display from 14 September to 19 October 2025, inviting everyone to enjoy them and experience the warmth of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The event is supported by National Integration Council, Singapore Clan Foundation and Cultural Matching Fund, with Square 2 as the venue partner. Through this lantern display, SFCCA and TTSH Community Fund hope to spread care and blessings, ensuring the festive warmth resonates across the wider community.
