New Immigrants and Singapore Society Experiential Series –
“National Service: What You Need to Know” Online Sharing Session

National Service (NS) was introduced in Singapore in 1967. As part of their national duty and also a rite of passage, all Singaporean and second-generation Permanent Resident males must fulfil their NS responsibilities.

To help everyone better understand NS, SFCCA is organising the New Immigrants and Singapore Society Experiential Series – “National Service: What You Need to Know” Online Sharing Session, with invited speakers from the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) to share more about the pre-enlistment process, as well as an NSman and the mother of an NSman to share their perspectives.

The sharing session includes:
– Pre-enlistment process
– Personal sharing of NS journey by an NSman
– Personal sharing from a parent’s perspective by the mother of an NSman
If you have any questions about NS, please feel free to ask during the Q&A session and we will answer them as best as we can!

Admission to the sharing session is free. Please RSVP here before 19th September 2021.

For any enquiries, please contact SFCCA Secretariat Ms Abby at 6354 4078 or abbyzhang@sfcca.sg.

Do note that sharing session will be conducted in Mandarin and English.
