Minister Ong Ye Kung to Head the Chinese Community Liaison Group (CCLG)
Prime Minister’s Office announced that Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) & Second Minister for Defence, Mr Ong Ye Kung has been appointed the new head of the Government’s Chinese Community Liaison Group (CCLG). Minister Ong will be taking over from Minister in Prime Minister’s Office, Mr Chan Chun Sing as CCLG Chairman from 1 August 2017.
SFCCA would like to express our deepest appreciation to Minister Chan Chun Sing for his dedication and contributions towards the Chinese Community for the past years.
Mr Chua Thian Poh, President of SFCCA added, we are confident that Minister Ong Ye Kung, who is taking over the leadership, will lead the CCLG to a new level. The Chinese Community will continue to work with CCLG in fulfilling our mission, and play our part in creating a better Singapore for the future.
