宗乡总会第26届常年会员大会共有12位理事出席了会议,左起为李秉萱、郑桂发(副财政)、何侨生(副会长)、蔡天宝(会长)、李国基(秘书长)、何国才、潘家海、洪宝兴、陈笃汉、蓝正厚 2011年9月17日上午,宗乡总会在大巴窑会所礼堂召开了第26届常年会员大会,共吸引了来自100多间会员团体的200多位代表出席。 这次大会其中一个重要议程是通过宗乡总会修改章程议案。蔡天宝会长表示,此次修改章程是为适应新社会和时代的变化,并明确总会的宗旨和愿景。 总会修改章程主要有3个重点:一、总会宗旨进行修改,在弘扬华族文化及价值观的同时,总会也将肩负起促进社会和谐,以及种族融入的责任。二、宗乡总会增设“准会员”,以便更好的团结华社相关的民间组织,共同为我国的文化建设与社会融合作贡献;三、总会将从现有的15名理事成员,增加到最多31人,以广纳人才,推动总会会务发展。 大会上,会员也针对不同课题进行发问,包括产业税、语言文化课程、新加坡华文水平低落等问题。与会者希望总会开办秘书相关课程,以提升会馆秘书处员工的水平。总会秘书长李国基表示,总会在近月来与资信通讯发展管理局(IDA)洽谈开设电脑课程,协助会馆电脑化和设立会馆网站,这项合作计划已取得良好进展。随着明年总会会所装修完成,将会有3间课室可作为电脑培训班,到时希望会馆能积极响应总会开办的课程。 当天,宗乡总会也首次颁发会员证书予属下会员团体,增强会员团体对总会的认同感和归属感。到场的100多个会馆代表从蔡天宝会长手中接过了设计精美的会员证书。 蔡天宝会长也感谢各会员团体在今年初总会25周年庆典暨筹款晚宴上慷慨捐献,为总会筹集了450多万元,才得以顺利推动会务发展。他表示,总会接下来有更多活动,希望会员团体支持;他也鼓励会员角逐新推出的杰出会馆奖。
